Reports are coming
in that the Croatian World number 15 Marin Cilic has failed a drugs
test and is serving a three month suspension. This allegedly happened
during the BMW open in Germany back in April. Cilic hasn't played
since his second round withdrawal from the second round of Wimbledon
citing “injury”. Radio New Zealand citing a Croatian news paper
said that the positive test was due to "incautious use of
glucose". The source of the information is Jutarnjilist.hr which
is a national mass circulation newspaper. The international tennis
federation and Cilic are yet to comment of this issue.
Reports of other
fail drugs tests are also circulating but I will not mention any
names unless more reliable sources that arises.
