The weekend round up

Putting behind the disappointment of Wimbledon Serena Williams and Roger Federer are still marching on in to the semis of their tournaments. Williams is yet to drop a set in Sweden and has only so far lost 10 games! Meanwhile Federer is being made to work a lot more harder on his way to the semis with his new racquet after a close three setter quarter final against Florian Mayer (76 36 75).

.Defending champion Juan Monaco is out of the German championships loosing 64 06 36 to Spain's Nicolas Almagro. This is now the Spaniards third consecutive semi final at the tournament.

There is a good chance Andy Murray could win all four grand slams in the same year if he wins a couple more according to tennis great Rob Lave

Sharapova and Bartoli pull out of Stanford. Maria Sharapove has pulled out of next weeks tournament with a hip injury and wimbledon champion is out with a strained hamstring. This now means only two of the worlds top 20 will be in the premier tournament.

 Hsieh Su-Wei hints at possibly controversially changing her alliance from Taiwan to china. It's controversial as both countries have a very complexed historical relationship.
