In what would of been a good indication of just how good or bad Federers form truely is, the former world number one has pulled out of Mondays prestigious Rogers Cup (a ATP master 1000 tournament). He said on Facebook :-
"I
am disappointed not to be playing in Montreal next week. It is a
great tournament with amazing fans. I look forward to competing there
in the future."
Federer
is still trying to overcome a back issue that he has. This follows
his disappointment second round defeat in his home country in Gstaad
as well at a surprised semi final loss to qualifier Delbonis at the
German Cup a couple weeks ago.With it just being 24 days till the US
Open, Federer will now be under huge pressure and expectation to regain
form in time for the final grand slam of the year. Federer is still
on the entry list for the Western and Southern Open in Ohio which begins on August 10th.
