The monday round up

So I am back from a quality holiday and ready to get back to blogging. I've just literally got back so here is a brief round up of the current tennis news:-

Rafael NadalFollowing last weeks win at the Cincinnati Open Rafael Nadal now moves up to number two in the ATP rankings. The win has also ensured Nadals qualificfation for the year end ATP finals In london. On the downside this will make the US open more tougher for defending champion Andy Murray who is now extremely likely to have to deal with Djokovic in the Semis and potentially Federer in the quarters if he wants to defend his grand slam.

The Bryan Brothers has clinched the year end doubles number 1 ranking for the 9th time in their career and 5th consecutive!

Following her shock retirement from professional tennis last week. Wimbledon Champion Marion Bartoli has announced that she will join Eurosport in presenting the upcoming US open. She tweeted:-
"Very thrilled to announce I will be part of the @Eurosport team for this @usopen commentating in english and french!!@Babsschett @mwilander"

The US open is gaining a new feature with a impressive 50-feet-by-8-feet social media wall, adjacent to Louis Armstrong Stadium.
