Sarena Williams and Novak Djokovic has been named ITF world champions of 2013. This is now Djokovic's third time winning the award and Williams forth. The awards are based on players performance throughout the year. Other awards has gone to Bob and Mike Bryan (Men’s Doubles World Champions), Sara Errani and Roberta Vinci (Women’s Doubles World Champions) Belinda Bencic (Girls) and Alexander Zverev (boys). The awards ceremony takes place next year.

Is it an inevitability that a coach-less Roger Federer will hire Swedish tennis great Stefan Edberg as his new coach? The two trained together last week of Dubai with Federer tweeting

Soon to be retied former top 20 player Xavier Malisse has been confirmed as the new coach of fellow Belgian Ruben Bemelmans. Bemelmans is currently ranked 148 (ch 108) and highlights of his 2013 season includes reaching two challenger tournament finals and qualifying for the 2013 Australian open. 

Jarzy Janowicz has had to retire from the upcoming Hopman Cup due to a foot injury. It was rumoured on December 13 he suffered a suspected metararsal fracture during off the season. Briefly commenting on his withdrawal he said:-
"Poland will be making its debut at the event and i wish Agnieszka the best of luck"
He will be replaced by Grzegorz Panfil. 
 
Andy Murray is officially the most written about athlete according to Journalisted.com, a organisation established by the Media Standards Trust. Murray had 9634 articles written about him followed by David Motes (8503) and Alex Ferguson (8091).
