French media - Bartoli will compete in Hopman Cup

A couple weeks ago Wimbledon champion Marion Bartoli announced her shock retirement from the sport. Despite this French media has now just reported that Bartoli will participate in the prestigious exihibition tournament, the Hopman Cup in January. According to lequipe.fr Bartoli was very hesitant regarding competing but has now decided to go ahead and compete with countryman Tsonga. According to the website sources Bartoli agreed before her retirement to participate in the tournament and will now apparently stick to her promise. This will also spark speculation that one day the Wimbledon champion could come out of retirement one day, especially with Bartoli refusing to rule a comeback out in recent interviews is which she said (quoting the dailymail.co.uk)
'You never know what's going to happen. I'm still in the rankings and I think I will be there until the end of the year and then we will see. It's pretty hard to say I will never come back.'
